SCORE!

I am so stinkin' excited about this garage sale find that I HAVE to blog about it!  First let me explain the "pre" story to this...

For about two weeks my hubby and I planned to go to the South Whitley garage sales on Friday morning with out daughters. First of all, we wanted to get some great deals and summer play clothes for the kiddos AND I wanted to find some creative props.  Second, we wanted to visit good ol' Carols Corner, that place holds alot of memories for us....my husband use to show up there unannounced when I worked there in high school, this was before we dated, during the time he stalked me in order to get me to date him ;).  Anyway,  I   we just wanted to get out of the house and have some adult contact with the real world...

Thursday night our girls started sneezing and along with that came a runny nose....and you guessed it Friday morning both girls were sick and needless to say we stayed at home with them and did not go to the South Whitley town wide sales.  However, because my husband is the awesome and caring and most understanding  man there is, he told me to go to another set of garage sales close to home to see if I could find some props there or play clothes for the kiddos, and he stayed home with our girls.  He didn't have to tell me twice, I was out the door in a jiffy...

First garage sale stop, found A TON of girls clothes, check! That was crossed off my list.  Boys clothes next...yeah a little harder to find.  However as I drove around creeping slowly in my van in front of houses peaking into their garages like I am a crazy theif or something, I looked for tables with boyish colored clothes AND then my van came to a hault!  I stepped on the breaks, pulled over and ran out over to the house, and there it was....sitting there....waiting for me..... > >

Yes, I know silly. BUT I have been looking for one of these beds for a newborn prop for about a month and ALL the ones I found were over $100.00. It was another lesson from God to tell me to WAIT and trust him, which I get those lessons in patience quite often....Anyway, I bought the bed for $30.00, and it was hand crafted by the person running the sale at that house, he used it for a pet bed and had a new piece of foam on it for the mattress! WOW, unbelievable...I cannot believe I still found one at the garage sale I was not going to go to but because of all the circumstances I was led right to that bed!!!! Oh, and I did end up finding boys clothes, some sweet jeans and dresses for me, AND an awesome chair for a prop and a cute basket for a prop!

So, as the blog title says, SCORE!!! :)
