Cecelia | Senior 2015 | Columbia City High School | Indiana High School Senior Photographer

Minus the chill in the air, the colors were golden. Looking back at Cecelia's images make me wish back Fall....the leaves, the warm colors, the golden sun, the crisp air.....I want it all back!!! I am seriously not ready for the wind, cold, snowy, icy weather that is knocking at our door. I am sure no one truly is, though!  Well, my daughter tells me that Elsa and Olaf are ready for winter so I guess there is SOMEONE anticipating the cold. :)

Mr & Mrs Foster | A Wedding Story | Fort Wayne Indiana Wedding Photographer

Their wedding was fun and exciting...my second shooter and I never knew what would be next. For instance, Eric is a sheriff so we incorporated his car in an image but THEN we came across a shiny red fire engine that the bride hopped on.  Oh, and did I mention the bride accepted the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge...IN HER WEDDING DRESS!!  What a perfect hot day to pour ice water all down your back and a perfect reason to get out of that hot 20 lb wedding dress....what a smart bride!!

Fusion Film | DeWitt Wedding | DeWitt Fusion Films & Melissa DeWitt Photography | Columbia City Indiana

While I photograph their wedding my husband (Tony) is photographing images for the film, so it is done at the same time (yes, we feel like paparazzi at this point) . The film is hundreds, probably even thousands, of images placed together to almost give it a flip book type of feel. Fusion films remind me of watching films right from a reel, which leads  me to think...perhaps we should be doing these films in timeless black and whites? What do you think?

Emily - Winter Wonderland | Columbia City IN, Teen Photographer

I photographed Emily for the first time last year. Even after that session I could see how photogenic this young lady was! Since then, I have photographed her family once and her again.  I must say...they are such a joy to photograph. Each time is a new experience and they have the best smiles, personalities and hearts.  For this last session, we were blessed with some beautiful snowy rain which made the images perfect for Indiana's Winter Wonderland this year!

Google, Yahoo, Pinterest....Your business and the World Wide Web

Maybe I am just easily amused. I find it crazy how much STUFF can pop up when you do a simple search on Google.com or even Pinterest.com. Dare I say this...??? I remember when the Internet became its big bad self! I mean really, I remember when in Middle School we were so stoked to have computers in the library. Heck, I remember in elementary school when Oregon Trail was the most awesome game in the world! Anyone with me?

Good-Bye 2013, Hello 2014!

I could sit here and say that I'm glad 2013 is gone and bla bla bla, but really, I have a LOT to be thankful for. Of course 2013 had its hard times...like when I doubted my art, thought I should quit, wondered if I was on the right track, felt like I needed to be a better mom/wife/person....but who doesn't think those things? Those are not THINGS that defined my year, at all. Those were just events that shaped how I grew as a person and photographer in 2013.

Little Miss Lottie ~ 6 months

Lottie is a "grow with me" baby. THAT means that I have seen her since she was a newborn and have watched her grown into the smiley little girl she has become! I am not exaggerating by saying she is smiley....Lottie literally smiled and bopped up and down the entire session!

Caiden turns 2!

I found it really adorable that his favorite toy at the moment is a "digger". Well, that is what he calls it, any way.  So, during our session he played his "digger" and repeated "digger, digger, digger" most of the session. It was seriously adorable! Needless to say, the "Digger" made its debut during his session and now has photographs of its own.  :)
